Digital disconnect
24h Nature
English or Spanish
Ages 6 to 12
Surrounded by nature, in the Community of Madrid, Spain
Aimed at those children who love the outdoors, trees, rivers, animals and nature in general.
There will also be plenty of fun, cooperative games, activities with friends, laughter, exercise, learning to get along, and to take care of oneself. We break with technological routines: total digital disconnection, replacing the “virtual world” with the outdoors, friends and adventure.

Summer camps
for kids in Spain
The aim of the Naturaleza en Vivo 2024 summer camp is for children to develop their personalities and cultivate values like solidarity, responsibility, and understanding, all while they learn and fully enjoy nature.
Designed and supervised by counsellors specialised in different areas of the outdoors: biologists, ornithologists, beekeepers, artists, teachers and other professionals who, through their applied knowledge, will instil in campers a healthy curiosity and deep respect for the preservation of nature.
General activities

- FARMING ACTIVITIES
- GAMES AND SPORTS
- MULTIADVENTURE
- EVENINGS
- DAY TRIPS
The activities described below will bring the children closer to the world of nature and crafts, which will allow them to understand the world from a different perspective. These activities will take place over two weeks.
HORSE BACK RIDING AND THE STABLES
Along with a horseriding session, we enter the stables to wash, clean and brush the horses and donkeys with a refreshing shower. We also colaborate with the maintenance of the stables by cleaning and tidying them up.
BUGS I AND II
We observe the differences between the bugs that we can find around us. We learn to identify invertebrates and classify them with grater precision. We look for them in their habitats and study with magnifiying glasses or microscopes some of their distinctive features. We understand their social behavior by, for explame, observing life within our anthill.
TRADITIONAL TECHNIQUES: AROMATIC, DISTILLATION AND PERFUME
We learn about aromatic plants and their different uses for humans. We understand the use of the still in the distillation process and we make our own perfume using a variety of essences or by maceration.
TRADITIONAL TECHNIQUES: LEATHER
We learn what leather goods are or the art of working leather. We discover the differences between the process of tanning leather and tanning skin. We get down to work with the tools to make a craft adapted to the age of each group.
ASTRONOMY
We observe the universe and learn the differences between planets, stars, comets and other interstellar matter found in space. We make our own planisphere to then use it during a night of stargazing.
TRADITIONAL TECHNIQUES: THE MILL AND THE CEREALS
We visit the mill and we learn about the different cereals, their uses and origins. We learn about the process of obtaining flour in a traditional way by grinding the grain by hand. Hacemos una visita al molino y conocemos los distintos cereales, el origen y su uso. Finally, we make some tasty muffins with our grannie’s recepy.
THE 5Rs + INVENTION
We understand the importance of taking care of our planet and its resources throught the 5 R’s – Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rot. We build a super invention with recycled materials according to the age of the group.
We have carefully chosen a variety of activities that complement each other and further the student’s integral development, alternating between fun ones and those that require students to make a greater effort to improve.
In addition to the specific Nature Activities described before, at the Jarama Nature camp, children can enjoy lots of different activities, in nature and on the farm!
They will be able to enjoy and learn about farm animal care and products, such as the cow and the milking process, poultry, chicken and eggs, beekeeping and the sheep and the wool process, in addition to the agricultural work of the rural world.
These activities offer fun and give children the opportunity to learn about life on the farm, the importance of sustainable agriculture and respect for nature.
DAILY EXERCISE
WE NEED IT
The importance of movement, exercise and sports leads us to dedicate time daily to different team sports and games of different characteristics.
DAILY SWIMMING
Every day we will have a good time in the pool, with free play and fun-filled synchronised swimming tournaments!
HORSEBACK RIDING
All the kids will participate in 3 horseback riding sessions. An introduction, a practice session in the ring, and a ride.
SPORTS
Water polo, baseball, ball-less football, basketball and football tournaments will be organised, among other sports.
GAMES
Games will be part of every day at camp! Cooperative and traditional games, parachute games, speed cups, water gymkhanas, body painting, and many more!
WE LOVE CHALLENGES
INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP
Multi-adventure activities are always very popular amongst children. These are ideal challenges to test and improve their skills and physical abilities, and their desire to excel, while strengthening both personal independence and teamwork too. They are ideal for shots of adrenaline and raising self-esteem.
During the camp the children can enjoy a variety of multi-adventure activities, surrounded by nature, which also means being immersed in it, learning about it, and respecting it.
TIBETAN BRIDGE, ARCHERY, INDOOR CLIMBING WALL, ZIPLINE, AND CANOES ON THE RIVER JARAMA!
FORGING FRIENDSHIPS
MAGICAL MOMENTS AT OUR NIGHTTIME GATHERINGS
Evening events full of action and movement. Night-time games are a very important part of the programme. Children not only give free rein to their imaginations, and overcome their fear of the dark, but this is also a time that brings the group together. Campers help each other, older kids aiding younger ones, as they work as a team, support each other, and above all, have fun. This is an essential aspect of our summer camps for children, before relaxing and going to sleep.
Some of these events are even organised by the campers themselves!
THE FAIR
Each counsellor creates an attraction or game, and builds it so that the rest of the children enjoy it. In turn, they enjoy the attractions and games that their counterparts created during the day. They can earn “coins” to exchange for treats and juice!
HAUNTED HOUSE (HOUSE/MUSEUM FOR THE YOUNGEST CAMPERS)
The older campers prepare a spooky Haunted House! They spend all day working on it, creating a story, its characters, props, decorations, and everything involved in creating a haunted passage to receive the other campers on the night of the Fair. A fantastically frightening time!
THE CASINO
A group of “almost big kids” prepares a night of games, betting and fun, at the Casino. They take care of everything! Roulette, blackjack, card games, and many other casino games for children to enjoy.
HOLLYWOOD NIGHT
The most eagerly awaited night ? The evening when many budding artists make their debuts. For days, each working group combines its strengths and exercises all its creativity to produce the very best performance it can. Some sing, others dance, some act out small plays, others juggle… all these talents shine on this night of Stars! Here you can see some of the most creative examples from this night.
MOVIE NIGHT
What better way to relax after a day out on an excursion than to put on your pyjamas and watch a movie?
A FAREWELL PARTY, WITH A SPECIAL DINNER AND DISCO!!
The camp comes to a close, and we want to go out on a high note! On the last night of camp we throw a party on which we have hamburgers with French fries and our waiters, the counsellors, put on their traditional farewell show for us. Don’t miss any of them; click here!
DURATON SICKLES
On Saturdays, we will go do water activities in the spectacular gorges of the Duratón River, where one of the largest colonies of the griffon vulture in Spain nests. We will paddle a canoe and then enjoy a fun time with the pedal boats.
*Day trips are carried out exclusively in the two-week camps.
