Every day, the camp doctor sees all those participants that need to be seen during 2, 3 or more hours.

The parents are the first to know the diagnosis of the doctor in case of having a positive diagnosis to a disease, as well as the prescribed treatment.

In case of medical incidents or accidents that need a visit to a health center – that can not wait for the doctor’s visit, these are the resources we have:

• Nearest 24-hour health center in Torrelaguna, 7 minutes drive from camp.
• Nearest hospital, Infanta Sofía Hospital in San Sebastián de los Reyes, 25min drive.
• The accident insurance of CEI El Jarama covers any accident that campers may suffer.
• Children will provide a health card of the Spanish health system, a European health card, or a medical insurance in the case of non-European children. This insurance will only be used in case of common illness.

In all cases, CEI El Jarama will keep parents informed of the participant’s medical evolution, diagnoses, treatments and any recommendations given by doctors. Our team will be in charge of administering the treatments that the children have been prescribed; but no child should attend the camp with a serious illness that may compromise his health or others’. Neither should children with serious behaviour disorders attend.
