COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES
FOR PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
In addition to the specific activities described above, at the JARAMA HÍPICA horseback riding camps children will enjoy lots of different outdoor activities.
Examples include kayaking on the Jarama River, working with farm animals, traditional craft workshops, food transformation (gathering, processing and cooking), riverside hikes, and much more.
Their constant contact with nature instils campers with an awareness of respect and care for the outdoors, while facilitating enhanced self-awareness too. It also furnishes campers with very positive emotional benefits for their overall development as people.

DAILY EXERCISE
WE NEED IT
The importance of movement, exercise and sports leads us to dedicate time daily to different team sports and games of different characteristics.
DAILY SWIMMING
Every day we will have a great time at the pool, with free play, and even fun-filled synchronised swimming tournaments!
GAMES
Games are an important part of the camp, as they foster group cohesion, and are also a lot of fun.
SPORTS
Alternative sports that promote respect for one’s opponent, teamwork, and maximum participation by all. Some examples are ball-less football, kayak basketball, kickball, ultimate frisbee, archery and kayaks on the Jarama River.

WE LOVE CHALLENGES
INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP
During the camp the kids will enjoy a variety of multi-adventure activities, ideal opportunities to test out and hone their skills and physical abilities, and their desire to excel, while strengthening both personal independence and teamwork. They are perfect for shots of adrenaline and raising self-esteem.
TIBETAN BRIDGE, ARCHERY, INDOOR CLIMBING WALL, ZIP LINE, AND KAYAKING ON THE JARAMA RIVER!

PRESILLAS DE RASCAFRÍA (NATURAL POOLS)
Halfway through the fortnight there will be an excursion to the natural pools of Rascafria, in the Valle de Paular (valley), Madrid. We will enjoy incredible views of the Pico Peñalara (peak), and swimming in three natural pools surrounded by green meadows.
*The excursion is only included in the fortnightly camps.

FORGING FRIENDSHIPS
MAGICAL MOMENTS AT OUR EVENING EVENTS
Evening programmes full of action and movement Night-time games are a very important part of the programme. Children not only give free rein to their imaginations, and overcome their fear of the dark, but this is also a time that brings the group together. Campers help each other, with older kids aiding younger ones, as they work as a team, support each other. and, above all, have fun. This is an essential time at our summer camps for the kids before relaxing and going to sleep.
Some of the evening events are even put together by the campers themselves!
THE FAIR
Each counsellor’s group creates an attraction or game, and builds it so that the rest of the children can enjoy it. And they, in turn, enjoy the attractions and games that their fellow campers created during the day. They can earn “coins” to exchange for treats and juice!
HAUNTED HOUSE (HOUSE/MUSEUM FOR THE YOUNGEST CAMPERS)
The older campers build a spooky Haunted House! They spend all day working on it, creating a story, its characters, props, decorations, and everything involved in creating a haunted passage to welcome the other campers on the night of the Fair. A fantastically frightening time!
THE CASINO
A group of “almost big kids” prepares a night of games, betting and fun, at the Casino. They get everything ready! Roulette, blackjack, card games, and many other casino games for children to enjoy.
HOLLYWOOD NIGHT
The most eagerly awaited night ? The evening when many budding artists make their debuts. For days, each working group combines its strengths and exercises all its creativity to produce the very best performance it can. Some sing, others dance, some act out small plays, others juggle… all these talents shine on this night of Stars! Here you can see some of the most creative examples from this night.
MOVIE
What better way to relax after a day out on an excursion than to put on your pyjamas and watch a movie?
A FAREWELL FIESTA, WITH A SPECIAL DINNER AND DANCE!!
The camp comes to an end, and we want to go out on a high note! On the last night of camp we throw a party with hamburgers and French fries after our waiters, the counsellors, put on their traditional farewell show for us. Don’t miss any of them; click here!

SPANISH
OUR BASKET CAMP, 100% IN SPANISH
Our traditional Spanish Camp is run by our traditional Spanish team (except Horseback Riding). All activities are carried out in Spanish and many of our students have known our group leaders for years. They have become role models that inspire the students for a life-time. Students are encouraged, accompanied, and empowered by them. It is the ideal camp to learn Spanish with Spanish leaders and Spanish friends.
English
FULL LANGUAGE IMMERSION. 24 HOURS IN ENGLISH
In our English summer camps, we focus on the following 3 concepts: 24 hours of fun, English without classes!, and ratio 1:8, 1 leader every 8 campers!
The best option to practice and improve your English without any effort
