CAMP SPECIALISED IN INSPIRING ADOLESCENTS
SUMMER CAMPS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
Supervised by qualified counsellors with extensive experience in working with teenagers. Its objective will be to motivate teens to discover and enjoy an enhanced awareness of themselves, in order to complete their journey towards adulthood through a richer adolescence.
Emotional intelligence and positive discipline
MANAGING EMOTIONS FOR PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
EMOTIONS: the basic ones (joy, sadness, disgust, anger, fear and surprise).
OBJECTIVE: to experience, identify, understand and manage emotions in oneself and in others.
HOW WE DO IT: with videos, movies, dynamics and games that generate awareness of the emotions that we all feel, and that foster empathy, assertiveness and friendship.
POSITIVE DISCIPLINE: we will work with the teens what relating to the world through the Positive Discipline approach means. They will explore self knowledge and self regulation through different dynamics and games.
RELAXATION TECHNIQUES: They will understand the importance of learning to relax to reduce stress, anxiety and irritability.
Adolescence is undoubtedly an exciting and fascinating stage of life. Every event is charged with great emotional intensity. This camp provides participants with the necessary tools for healthy and safe emotional development.
GAMES, DYNAMICS AND PHYSICAL AND MENTAL CHALLENGES
It is an ideal time for creativity, as teens reject established ways of doing things to create new solutions for life, and cultivate their clear need for experimentation. It is also an ideal opportunity to break with technological habits, encouraging digital disconnection and favouring laughter, good times, friendship, and challenges, all in a natural environment that will help them to reconnect with themselves.
PUZZLES AND BRAIN TEASERS IDEAL FOR THE KIDS TO GIVE THEIR BRAINS A WORKOUT
OBJECTIVES: To work on social skills such as group cohesion, teamwork, empathy, solidarity, cooperation, trust in others, strategy and responsibility.
EXAMPLES OF ACTIVITIES*: ESCAPE ROOM, WOLFMEN OF CASTRONEGRO, THE SHIPWRECK, CIRCLES AND Xs, THE EGG GAME.
* The activities vary every year and every two weeks, being adapted to the counsellor and his group.
Sport and adventure
Alternative sports that promote respect for one’s opponent, teamwork, and maximum participation by all. Some examples are body football, canoe, basketball, kickball, and ultimate frisbee. There will also be adventure activities, like archery, zip line, Tibetan bridge, and the eagerly awaited kayaking on the river Jarama .
Every day we swim in the pool. We enjoy free-format swims, fun-filled synchronised swimming tournaments, and our popular belly flop competition!
At this summer camp young people will enjoy three horseback riding sessions: an introduction, a practice session in the ring, and a ride.
Evenings are magical moments that serve to further foster group unity. Nights are unique and special, FORGING GROUPS.
