LANGUAGE IMMERSION – SECONDARY EDUCATION
CEI El Jarama offers a series of English immersion programs for Obligatory Secondary Education (ESO) students of all ages. All of them are in line with CEI El Jarama’s pedagogical standards, designed to provide experiences adapted to the different needs of schools, their students and teachers.
CEI Educational Services and its CEIES Language Department, a CEI El Jarama didactic innovation division centered on teaching Spanish and English as foreign languages, works to offer outstanding innovative activities and programs that are interesting and fun for participating students who, after all, are those who ultimately must engage in the learning process.
The main benefit of our English immersion programs is the opportunity it gives students to use the English language 24 hours a day, in authentic ways, along with a unique dose of creativity and fun.
At CEI El Jarama we offer two types of immersion programs in English for ESO students:
Language Immersion Weeks (LIW), in which young students participate in a one-week intensive English learning program.
School Trips, a program that offers students the opportunity to travel to an English Camp in England or a a small medieval city in Ireland, where the young people are welcomed by different Irish families in their homes. These programs feature the ideal conditions to learn and improve one’s English level, and include adventure activities and local excursions to places of interest in the UK and Ireland.
In addition to our linguistic immersion programs, backed by 20 years of experience in English courses and programs for young people, we are also a collaborating facility for linguistic immersion programs sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports for 6th-year Primary and 2nd-year ESO students.
